Born with a defect known as Klippel Trenaunay Weber syndrome, which makes it difficult for him to walk the long distances required to play a round of golf, Martin sued the PGA Tour and won the right to use a golf cart in tournament play. Even though he never won a PGA Tour event, he inspired millions of fans with disabilities of all kinds. Martin is now the head golf coach at the University of Oregon and plans to make another attempt on the PGA Tour in the future.
