Known as one of Europe’s most successful golfers of all time, Nick Faldo has topped the Official World Golf Rankings for 98 weeks as well as winning 3 Open Championships, 3 U.S. Masters. He began his golf career in 1976 and after just a few years of being professional he became the youngest player to be in the Ryder Cup at the age of 21.

In 1987 Nick Faldo won his first major title and from that point on was considered one of the best golfers in the world. Between 1987 and 1996 he won 6 major tournaments, which more than any other player at that time. He was named PGA player of the year in 1990 and was also named European tour player of the year in 1989, 1990 and 1992; he also won 29 European tour titles.

Off the golf course, Nick started his own golf course design company called Faldo Design; the company has designed or remodeled golf courses around the world. Also, in 1996 he started the Faldo Series which encourages young European golfers to improve on their golf game. Faldo has also established along with Marriot Hotels, The Faldo Golf Institute. It is an instructional program that helps golfers at every level the chance to improve their skills and at the same time enjoying golf. He has been inducted into World Golf Hall of Fame and has also done broadcasting for ABC and CBS.
