Jack O’Callahan had a stellar career in college hockey. He was team captain for two consecutive seasons and was named All-East twice, All-New England, and All-America. O’Callahan also received MVP awards in the Beanpot, the NCAA tournament, and twice for his team, and he was two-time recipient of the Cochrane award. There was also a Jack O’Callahan appearance at the 1979 Ice Hockey World Championship and the 1982 Winter Olympics, where he won the gold medal.
O’Callahan was the 96th overall draftee in the 1977 NHL Entry Draft.
