Jonny Moseley brings extreme sports and classic skiing together with his gold medal-winning performances. Moseley was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but moved to Northern California at a young age and began taking skiing lessons. By 1982, he had won his first title, the Junior National in Freestyle Skiing. The next year he was chosen for the national skiing team shortly after graduating high school.
Although he didn’t qualify for the 1994 Olympic Games, Moseley made the 1998 team for the Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. He took home a gold medal in the freestyle skiing event and wrapped up the year with the national and world titles in hand. Moseley also competed in the 2002 Olympics but finished fourth. Moseley is largely credited with convincing the International Skiing Federation to allow skiers to participate in the X Games. For his accomplishments, the U.S. Olympic Committee named him the 1998 Sportsman of the Year, and the city of San Francisco awarded him a key to the city on a day proclaimed “Jonny Moseley Day.”
Jonny Moseley’s flamboyant skiing has earned him dedicated fans across the country. TSE can bring a Jonny Moseley appearance to your event while saving you time, effort and money.
