From the Olympics to Hollywood to the motivational speaker circuit, Mitch Gaylord has been a true champion for more than 20 years. He first made headlines back in 1984 and he’s still a well-known figure today. After winning a national championship with UCLA, he led the 1984 U.S. gymnastics team to a gold medal in the Olympics in Los Angeles. Gaylord was the star of Team USA, and he scored a perfect 10 to help his team win the gold, becoming the first American to ever achieve that score. Gaylord also picked up a silver medal and two bronzes in the individual events. Gaylord went on to star in the Hollywood movie “American Anthem” in addition to several other films, and he had an appearance in “Batman Forever” as a stunt double. He now has his own workout program called “Melt it Off.” Gaylord lives in Southern California with his wife Valentina, an accomplished singer and songwriter.
