After his athletic career, he moved on to acting and appeared in the James Bond movie “License to Kill” and numerous TV shows, including “Dragnet” and “Lassie.” He has also become an active spokesman for children’s causes and to promote the sport of track and field. Rafer Johnson is also well known for being part of Robert Kennedy’s 1968 presidential campaign and being one of the men who tackled assassin Sirhan Sirhan.
