Biography

Bob Ryan is a longtime columnist for the Boston Globe. He started as a sports intern for the Globe after graduating from Boston College. A Bob Ryan appearance is also a regular occurrence as a talk show host on the New England Sports Network.

In addition to print and television, Ryan is also a frequent guest on radio. Some of Bob Ryan’s radio appearances include: The Bob Ryan Report on Loren and Wally (WROR-FM), Michael Felger’s show and Dennis and Callahan on WEEI, Roundtable (featuring Ryan) on NPR’s On Point, and the “Marty and Miller” radio program on KXNO. Ryans other television appearances include The Tony Kornheiser Show, ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption, The Sports, Reporters, Around the Horn, and Cold Pizza.

He has also written for the Basketball Times and votes for the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Bob Ryan Speaker

Bob Ryan has been described as a basketball guru and is popular for his famous coverage of the Boston Celtics in the 1970s. Tony Kornheiser refers to him as “the quintessential American sportswriter”. Such lofty praise from his peers can only hint at just how insightful a Bob Ryan speaker experience can be.

Bob Ryan Appearance

Among Ryan’s numerous awards is the 2006 Dick Schaap Award for Outstanding Journalism, 1997 Curt Gowdy Award from the Basketball Hall of Fame, 2000 AP National Sportswriter of the Year, and the 2008 NSSA’s National Sportswriter of the Year. He is also a member of the College Basketball Writers and New England Basketball Halls of Fame. These awards exemplify Ryan’s ability to talk about sports issues, not just sports itself, meaning a Bob Ryan appearance will dig into the sports issues of the day.

Bob Ryan Endorsement

A Bob Ryan endorsement brings with it the notoriety of a sportswriter who has covered 20 NBA finals, 20 Final Fours, nine World Series, five Super Bowls, the last seven Olympics, and many other events. It also brings the prestige of an accomplished professional who has no problem taking time out of his life for others, as Ryan is often recognized for his humanitarian fundraisers to help inner-city teenagers with their educations.
