After spending 16 years at Newsday as Yankees beat writer, baseball columnist, and general sports columnist, Heyman moved to Sports Illustrated in 2006. He also became a baseball columnist for The Sporting News in 1999 and 2000.
Now, a senior writer for Sports Illustrated, Jon Heyman’s The Daily Scoop is a baseball notes column which comes out most weekdays during the baseball season and twice a week during the offseason. Heyman handles reports on baseball year-round for SI.com and also works as a contributor for the magazine, with his column “Inside Baseball.”
