Peter King is a senior writer for Sports Illustrated. He is also the author of five books including “Inside the Helmet.” The author has also appeared as a TV analyst, reporter and radio commentator for shows across the nation. Since 2006, he has been a part of Football Night in America, NBC’s Sunday night NFL studio show.

After college, King worked for The Cincinnati Enquirer, where he covered college sports and professional football from 1980 to 1985. He was an NFL beat writer for Newsday from 1985 to 1989, when he joined the staff of Sports Illustrated. He also writes regularly on the NFL for SI magazine.

King writes the popular Monday Morning Quarterback column for SI.com, as well as a “Monday Morning Quarterback: Tuesday Edition” edition. He was the a managing editor and reporter for “Inside the NFL,” the Emmy Award-winning HBO show in 2002, and served as a special “insider” reporter and analyst for “Football Night in America” and “Sunday Night Football.”
