In 1988, a Jim Courier appearance made it to professional scene, and he had a Grand Slam breakthrough in 1991 upon winning the French Open Singles title. He also reached the US Open finals that year.

The year 1992 was a highly decorated year for Courier. He recorded a 25 match winning streak and won both the Australian Open and French Open titles. That year, he became the 10th player to become World No. 1. He was also part of the US team that won the 1992 Davis Cup and was the top seeded player at the 1992 Olympics. In 1993, a Jim Courier appearance in the Australian Open led him to another championship trophy, and he was again a member of the US team that won the 1995 Davis Cup.

During his career, Courier had a total of 23 singles titles and six double titles, spending 58 weeks as the World No.1 in 1992 and 1993. Courier also reached the finals of all four major championships.

After retiring from the ATP tour in 2000, he focused on other businesses such as a sports event company named InsideOut Sports & Entertainment, and Courier’s Kids, a non-profit organization that supports tennis and education programs. He continues to play on the Outback Champions series and in some exhibitions and events worldwide.
